How to Authorize a Transaction with Shift4 in ASI PMS 7x

You can authorize a specific amount on the guest’s card using the Shift4 terminal. Follow the steps below. 


Steps:
  1. Open the reservation where you want to add the Authorize transaction.
  2. Go to the Payment section.
  3. Select the terminal “shift4_api.”
  4. Enter the amount you want to authorize.
  5. Check the Authorize box.
  6. Click Add, then click Save.
  7. After saving, the authorized amount will appear on the SHIFT4 machine.
  8. Swipe the card on the machine to complete the authorization.
