How to Convert an Auth Transaction into a Sale in ASI PMS 7x? 

You can convert a previously authorized amount into a Sale to charge the guest. Follow the steps below.

How to Convert an Authorization (Auth) to a Sale

Use the steps below to capture a pre-authorized payment and convert it into a completed Sale transaction in the reservation Folio.

Steps:

  1. Open the Folio of the reservation.

  2. Go to the Payment section.

  3. Find the Auth transaction (shown in blue).

  4. Click the Capture icon (Dollar sign “$”) next to the Auth transaction to initiate the conversion.

  5. Enter the amount you want to convert into a Sale.

  6. Click Save.

  7. The transaction color will update from blue (Auth) to purple (Sale), confirming the authorization has been successfully captured as a completed Sale.
