Effective immediately, ASI FrontDesk has introduced a Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) process to enhance your system's security during support interactions. This feature adds an extra layer of protection by verifying the identity of both the hotel user and the ASI Support Executive before allowing access to your system.
This authentication process is mandatory starting from version 6.2.01.029 and is activated automatically.
🧩 When to Use 2FA?
Whenever you're seeking remote assistance from ASI Support, you will be required to complete this verification process to ensure a secure session.
✅ Step-by-Step: How to Authenticate Support Access
- Open ASI FrontDesk
Click Help from the menu bar or at the bottom of the main screen, click on Support. - Click “Get OTP”
Select the Get OTP button to generate a one-time password. - System Generates OTP
A pop-up window will appear showing a six-digit OTP (e.g., 901-156). At the same time, this OTP is automatically sent to ASI Support. - Support Executive Confirms OTP
The ASI Support Executive will read back the OTP received via email. - Match the Code
Confirm that the code you see on your screen matches the one provided by the Support Executive. - Click “Verified & Close”
Once verified, click on Verified & Close. - Final Confirmation
A prompt will ask: “Have you verified the code with the ASI Support Executive, and does it match the displayed code?”
- Click Yes to proceed.
- Click No if the code does not match, and reconfirm with support.
⚠️ Important Reminder for Hotel Users:
For your safety, do not grant access to your computer or share any sensitive information until the OTP has been verified with the ASI Support Executive.
This process helps protect against:
- Unauthorized system access
- Potential fraud or phishing attempts
- Identity spoofing of ASI Support
